PEREGRINE FALCON
Most prized of all the falcons for their beauty, the Peregrine Falcon can be found nesting in high areas near water. These areas can range from cliff edges to skyscrapers. In the mid 1900's these birds diminished from Wiscosnin due to the heavy pesticide use of DDT. In 1996, they were re-introduced to the state. They are a bird of prey, preying on small to medium sized birds. The male is a tiercel, which means it is a third smaller than the female.
