PRAIRIE CHICKEN
The Prairie Chicken, also knowns as the Greater Prairie Chicken is actually a grouse. It lives in grasslands and prairies. In Wisconsin, the Prairie Chicken is found year round. A unique trait of this grouse is that the male's do a mating dance. Multiple males will come together to display their feathers to the female's while strutting around making hooting noises. The Prairie Chicken feeds off of insects, seeds, and other vegetation.
